  • 1 box of tissues

Dear Parents,

Traditionally, we have provided a snack on Fridays for kindergarten students that continues the theme of the letter that we have been working on for the week.  The children really enjoy their special “letter snack” each week.  The fee for the children’s snacks/crafts is $15.00 per year.  With that money, we shop for an appropriate “letter” snack for the children.  Sometimes, we will supplement classroom supplies with this money for a special craft project.  It is easier for us to get the snacks together because we know the make up of the classrooms with regards to allergies and other special dietary needs.  This also is helpful to parents who do not have to worry about shopping for and providing snacks for class except for their child’s birthday treats.  We would appreciate it very much if you could send your child’s $15.00 for classroom snack/crafts to school by Friday September 3.  You may send cash or a check made out to Sunset Park School.  If you support this program, we will continue the Friday snack program in our classrooms.  If you choose not to support this program, please let us know so that we will not keep mentioning it to your child.  Please consider carefully, as we would like for all children to take their part in providing snacks for their classmates.  If this creates a financial hardship for anyone, please let us know and we can make other arrangements.  If you have any questions, please call us in our classrooms.  Thank you very much!
