How to Bully-Proof Your Kid

March 29, 2017

6:00 to 7:30pm

Sunset Park Media Center

Sunset Park Elementary and Pueblo City Schools has partnered with No Bully to help make its school bully-free. No Bully’s curriculum, trainings, and non-punitive solutions to end bullying and harassment are highly effective, and help schools maintain truly inclusive learning communities.

Please join us to learn more about this exciting partnership.  Parents and guardians who participate in this informative workshop will earn their Sunset Park student’s entry into an event in the gym.  Snack packs will be available for purchase for $2.

Sunset Park students may attend the event in the gym without parents for $5 (includes snack).  Movie will begin at 6pm.  Please arrive at 5:30 if your student will attend the event in the gym.  Students may turn in their event ticket for a free homework pass.

At this parent workshop you will:

  • Receive an overview of the No Bully system and the steps our school is taking to become bully-free;

  • Get up to speed on the new face of bullying in schools;

  • Identify the warning signs of bullying and cyber-bullying;

  • Build skills to prevent your kid from becoming a bully or a target of bullying;

  • Be reminded of bullying behaviors that can be inadvertently modeled by adults; and

  • Learn how to coach your child through the common conflicts and bullying of youth.
